THE FORK IN THE ROAD

THE FORK IN THE ROAD - Bettye Johnson (Copyright)

One morning I awoke and knew this was the day I would seek my future. I looked around my house and already noticed the cobwebs and dust forming and I told myself, 'this is the past.' I walked outside and became aware the atmosphere seemed different. I shrugged my shoulders and went outside the gate without closing it. As I walked on the road, everything appeared to be different. It was the same, but not the same. Strange. My energy was high and I felt a lightness in my chest, or as some would say, my heart. I became unaware of time and as I became aware of the road, I noticed it began to narrow. Soon I came to a fork in the road.

Perplexed, I paused to ponder which path I would take. Hmm, two paths. Is this what is meant in the old song "I'll take the high road and you'll take the low road…?" Swiftly my decision came and I chose the road to the right. After what seemed a long time, I came to a river with a path bridge over it. I was about to step on it, when a troll-like figure came out from under the bridge and shouted to me, "Halt! Ye cannot pass until you pay the toll!"

I was amazed at this little figure with his gnarled body something like an old wizened stunted tree. He stood there glaring up at me. He only came to my knee. Looking at me from under busy brows and eyes somewhat beady, he held out a blackened pot. "In here," he said in a booming, crackly-like voice. "Yew'll not pass until yew pay me a toll."

Upon realizing I had not brought any money with me, I showed him my empty pockets. "I, I have no money to pay you," I managed to say while he glared at me with baleful eyes. "I want none of yare money. T'would do me no good. No, I want yare hidden treasure – that which yew thinks none would know." And he cackled a loud booming sort of laugh.

"I, I don't understand what you mean by hidden treasure." I stood perplexed while my mind was working in a flash review to understand what hidden treasure this troll might want. He continued to glare and finally said, "I want all yare guilt. I want all yare hidden, shameful acts. I want all yare jealousies." He again cackled an odd-like laugh while continuing to hold the pot before me. Searching within my memory, old hurts and resentments began surfacing. The odd troll cackled his raucous laugh again. "He, he. Spit 'em out. Spit 'em out in the pot. T'will give me a feast to eat this day."

Slowly I began spitting the words out into the pot. I finally felt emptied. "Yare holding back!" he shouted as he jumped up and down. "Spit it out! Spit it out!" Again, I searched within my mind and I remembered I had found a coin purse on the sidewalk in a far off place when I was so young and unworldly. I had not attempted to find the owner and kept it. It had bought me a bag of candy. Could this be it? I thought. The wizened old troll cackled it again. Ye see? Ye did have one more old treasure and I want it. Spit it out!" Following his directions, I spit it in the pot and looked at him.

Still cackling his raucous laugh, he stepped aside and I crossed the bridge. I noticed the road was getting wider and the landscape appeared to be bright with a shining sun. I became aware of a field of flowers that were the colors of the rainbow and my heart began palpitating with excitement. I was approaching another river and there was a footbridge to cross, but ahead of me on the bridge stood a regal figure in a long robe. In his hand, he held a staff carved with many symbols. As I neared, he held the staff up and shouted, "Ye cannot pass this way!" Shocked with surprise, I halted. Somehow, I knew he was a wizard with his long white beard and silvery white hair that flowed down to his shoulders. Of course, he wore a long midnight blue robe trimmed in gold at the hem, the edges of the sleeves and around the neck. Then I looked into his eyes and could not move my eyes away from his. I felt I locked into a vise of power and I was.

Somehow, I found my voice and asked him if he was a wizard. "And what if I am?" he replied. I managed to stammer that I was seeking my future and surely crossing this bridge would assist me. Never moving his eyes away from mine, I felt him smile a bit. With a flash, he disappeared and there before me was an old bent man wearing what looked to appear as old threadbare pants and shirt with tears and holes in them. His long white hair was a tangled mess and his long beard was yellowed and as he opened his mouth, I noticed gaping spaces where there should have been teeth. He was holding a branch of a tree as his staff. I gasped and found myself speechless. "So ye want to see a wizard. And what do yew think a wizard should look like? Suddenly with a quick flick of his staff, my eyes were released from him and instantly in front of me was an old woman dressed in the long midnight blue robe trimmed in gold. Her hair was white as snow and was wrapped around her head in a braid. A gold crown was perched on the top of her head. Beside him – uh her was a stand with a big thick book opened to a page. I gulped and I think my eyes bugged out. With a tinkly-like chuckle, she asked me whom I was expecting. I was so flabbergasted that I could not answer.

She smiled in a gentle way and asked me, "Do you think all wizards are men? Don't you know that there is a large cadre of female wizards?" I shook my head with a no nod and she continued speaking. "We are the Sisterhood of the Way." The way? I was about to ask about the way when with a long pointy finger, she began turning the pages. "Hmm," she uttered. "Here is a future that might fit you. I see some trouble in this one."

"Trouble?" I squeaked. "Oh no sir, I mean madam , I do not want trouble. I have lived enough trouble in the past."

Looking at the book again, she turned a few more pages and I strained to see what kind of writing it was, but all I saw were blank pages. This perplexed me and I was about to say something when she stopped on a page and muttered, "This might fit what you are looking for." Quickly I asked, "Are there any wars?"

"Wars?" The wizard looked at me sadly before replying further. "Yes, there are wars but not major ones."

"Oh no, I cannot live that future. There has to be something more. I have seen all the wars I need to see." I replied.

With her long pointy finger, she turned some more pages. "Ah, here is one that fits you," she said as she again looked at me with is deep piercing eyes that were dark as dark as can be."Yes, it could be the one just for you."

I managed to say in a small voice, "What will this future be madam?" I really did not know how to address a wizard of the Way.

Now her eyes began twinkling a bit, as she looked at me. "This future is about the merging of science and spirituality into one."

"But madam, how can that be? There are so many religions and different ideologies." I managed to say.

"Ah, but that is changing in this future." The wizard looked at me with a sparkle in her eyes and went on to say, "It really depends on your level of acceptance."

"Acceptance?" I managed to stutter.

"Aye, acceptance." Too many people have a low level of acceptance and fail to see the miracles that abound around them."

"But madam, how can one see a miracle?"

The wizard locked her eyes on mine and I felt as though my feet were glued to the ground. "That's because the inner eyes are stuck on the past and the inner eye cannot see the miracles. You must turn away from the past. This is why you took the right fork in the road. You want a future and I have seen it for you. It is up to you to live it."

"But, how can I live it when I'm not sure what it is?" I managed to stutter.

"Ah, that is the journey and its mysteries to be unveiled. Before you leave, I will give you magic words. These can be used for either good or bad. It is up to you to remember the right use. These magic words are 'I Am.' These two powerful words determine your future."

"I am?" I squeaked with trepidation.

"Yes, I Am. If you were to say 'I Am tired' then you will be tired. However, if you were to say "I Am filled with energy,' then you will feel energetic. When you think I Am, remember to use it for what you want and never for what you do not want." The wizard looked at her book again. "Here are two more words that are powerful when used correctly, 'I know.' As an example, you can tell yourself, 'I know the right path to take," and you always will. The wizard closed her book and she moved aside so I could cross the bridge. I was about to step on to the bridge when she said, "P.S. Never look back. There are more forks in the road ahead and if you use the words I gave you, you will move into the future you seek."

Trembling, I stepped on to the bridge with my mind churning with what I had heard. I was in the middle of the bridge when I stopped and looked back to see if the wizard was still there and plop! I stumbled and almost fell off the bridge because there were no handrails. As I was attempting to pull myself back on the bridge because I was hanging on with my hands to the edge, I heard a roar of laughter and a voice boomed, "I told you to never look back!"

JOIN ME IN BEING A SHIFT-CHANGER

Yes, I have created the For Freedom Now Project and what does that have to do with being a Shift-Changer? Everything. I have long had a love affair with words and during my lifetime, I have come to understand the power of words. Some words are weak such as 'maybe' because in indicates indecision. Two words that I have used in the past and I know others use it constantly are 'cannot' or 'can't'. Cannot or can't indicate that something will not happen or will not be done. I recently heard someone speak about someone out of work and the statement made was "he can't get a job." Well, as long as 'can't' is used, he won't.

So, how can we change bad or unhappy situations around? It only takes two words to change anything as long as these words are spoke or thought sincerely. These two words are the foundation of the For Freedom Now Project. The first word is love or LOVE and it carries within it a powerful frequency when said with sincerity. Masaru Emoto has proven through his experiments that by placing the word Love on the outside of a bottle of polluted water, that after a short period of time the water will become clean. Now that is power! Love is Source power or as some will say God-power.

Gratitude is another powerful word. Gratitude goes hand-in-hand with 'thank you' and especially when spoke or thought of with sincerity. Gratitude carries a frequency that can also change many things. The ancients knew the power of gratitude and this is why blessing our food and blessing others was handed down through the ages. Gratitude or thank you when spoken over a meal or a glass of water or wine, can change the molecular structure.

The Freedom Now Project is very simple and all that is required is a commitment to focus or pray once a day (or more) using the words love and gratitude and encompass the world with these two words. These two words will link us mind-to-mind and when done with thoughtfulness and intent, we can shift the awareness of the world from abuse, poverty, war, enslavement, bigotry, prejudice, rape, and enable the world to evolve into something greater. This is the time to heal our woundedness. Now is the opportunity to heal and give to the world a shift that will lift it up into something evolutionary.

Again, please join me in this project. For more information: http://www.forfreedomnow.weebly.com/

A NEW WORLD

World making has a delicious connotation. Would it be similar to a washerwoman who would scrub it clean? On the other hand, would we be an artist and paint new over the old? Having been an avid researcher of history and ancient history, it is as stated, in Eccl.1:9 "There is nothing new under the sun" and in some ways it appears this is semi-true. I say semi, because there are always new avenues of thought to pursue.

It appears that there have always been wars, enslavement, political plotters, murders, plagues, the rich, the poor, and subjugation of women, rape, and the robber barons. Today it is said there are six billion on this planet. Now that is many people with each one having different perceptions. Here we are in the year 2008 and we still have prejudices, discrimination, wars, rape, child abuse, female abuse, controllers and the barons of old who have become corporations.

What has brought us to this point in time? Some will say it is genetics, that's just the way it is, or my religion tells me this or that. There are a host of reasons and excuses for human behavior. Yes, we have great technology today, but if one observes people, we can note that many are part of a herd of cows following a leader. Therefore, what can bring about a new world—a different world? Ah, that's a question rarely posed. Why not begin with our self? What can we bring to a new empty table? A new world?

Are we bringing old, worn-out beliefs, habits, resentments, guilt, jealousies and other relics of the past, or do we bring to our empty table a new and different perspective? This calls for radical self-examination. What hidden thoughts do we harbor? What emotions are we suppressing? What words do we use over-and-over unconsciously?

Each of us is a thread in the tapestry of life. Some of us may appear to be the same color, but our hue—our tint is different. Each of us carries within us our own stamp of uniqueness. Perhaps it is time to remove the blinders we wear and allow new and different ideas and perspectives to flow in. Now we have change and an opportunity to see a new world unfolding within us as it moves into the outer reality. It is a challenge to move out of the herd. There are temptations to hang on to the past. This is a journey others have previously made while creating a new world for themselves. They became the eye in the center of the storm raging around them.

If each of us made a choice and moved out of the mold—the herd think of how exquisite it will be to live in a new world of our making. We each can become the center of calm while the outer world appears to be falling apart. We each can become the artist and paint a new scenario, or the writer who can write a new script. Each of us have the capability to create our own personal new world. From adversity comes the jewel.

LOVE AND GRATITUDE

I have written about love and gratitude in previous articles, and I cannot stress the importance of creating our life with the powerful frequency of Love and Gratitude. It can override any situation when evoked sincerely. We are living in trying times on this planet and societies have become steeped with fears, judgments, prejudices and control. Where did these beliefs/attitudes come from? There really is not any one culprit, however various religions have done much to perpetuate these and it is time for us to look at our religious beliefs. Religion and spirituality is not the same thing. Religion is man-made while spirituality comes within with a direct connection to that which created us. Some may call this connection God, Allah, Buddha or whatever name one wants to place on it. All plants, animals and water respond to love and gratitude. Even the earth responds to love and gratitude. This is ancient knowledge.

I have gone through a period of my life where I was judgmental, had prejudices , thought I was a victim, anger, jealousy, and I realized that those emotions and attitudes did not serve me. No, they made me sick and miserable. This is when I began my awakening as described in my book Awakening the Genie Within. I have discovered that to live a balanced life that my main tools are observation, love and gratitude.
We can change our lives by observing our beliefs, attitudes and emotions and discarding those that no longer contribute to our well-being or happiness. In speaking about love, I am not addressing romantic love, or parental love. I am writing about universal love and when we can place a non-biased love as a blessing on people, places, events, our food, our drink, our animals, plants and this Earth, we have altered the frequencies and a blossoming occurs not only in our self but also in others.

Love has many attributes such as kindness, acceptance, understanding, allowing, with no judgments or prejudices. I have learned that the more I put into action these attributes that my life has less chaos. I have learned for myself to mentally stand back, observe my reactions, and then choose to change them. It is a challenge at times to observe situations, which spawns herd mentality. It takes courage to step out of the box, but it can be done. Complacency stagnates love. It lulls one into a false sense of security. I have realized that there are times to speak out on issues, but there is also a time when to keep silent and observe until I realize that something wonderful may come from this.

Gratitude is a feeling of thankfulness and appreciation. It is also acknowledgement of a benefit received or will receive. I grew up in a household where we said a blessing for our food at every meal. I never understood why and it appeared to be a rote action. A true blessing is one said silently or vocally with focused intent. The blessing of food, drink or anything is also ancient knowledge. The pagans used blessings and gratitude long before the Christians. There are many stories of people who gave a blessing, a prayer of thanks for something they knew they would receive.

From my perspective if more people would begin blessing their lives and the people in their lives along with their possessions, jobs, the problems would fade away because showing gratitude for everything opens doors to new possibilities. Margaret Cho stated it quite well, "Sometimes when we are generous in small, barely detectable ways it can change someone's life forever."

A WISE WOMAN LEADS

We are living in a chaotic time with turmoil erupting and spewing all over the world. Here in the U.S. we have a nominee for vice-president and there is much controversy regarding her qualifications and her ability to govern for all the people. Having read many articles about Sarah Palin, I began to think of the qualifications I want to have in a woman who would represent my interests in a fair way. Here are my list of qualifications for any woman in a position of power:

QUALIFICATIONS: (Some of them.)

* A wise woman will be open-minded and willing to see all sides of the issues.
*A wise woman will be able to stand the heat and friction of adversities and adversaries.
*A wise woman will remove herself from favoritism or cronyism. Friends are not always the best allies.
*A wise woman would study the issues in depth before making decisions.
*A wise woman will seek counsel from wise people and then use her innate knowing to make a decision.
*A wise woman will not force her spiritual/religious beliefs on others, but allow each to have her or his own connection to God.
*A wise woman will keep religion out of politics.
*A wise woman may not condone abortion, but will not support restrictions on the way a woman chooses to use her body.
*A wise woman will be courageous, have integrity and uphold the Constitution of the United States.
* A wise woman has a fountain of knowledge and wisdom and uses her mind accordingly.

Is it possible to have a woman with the above qualities lead this country? I would hope so. I am one of the first to admit that not all women have admirable qualities just as there are men who do not have admirable qualities. However, there are women and men who have integrity, are honorable and speak their truth. It is time for them to come forward to lead this nation and it can begin with only one person to lead the way.

It is time for people all over the world to move out of flatlander thinking and open their minds to a grander future. It is time to awaken to conscious awareness and take responsibility for one's words, thoughts and actions.
I have used the image of the Goddess Athena or some call her Goddess Minerva. She represents Wisdom and Truth and is also a Warrior.

ARE YOU MAKING A DIFFERENCE

This election year is a pivotal one. We can choose to vote or not vote, however one vote can make a difference. Votes can send messages loud and clear. Speaking out can send messages loud and clear. Today I received an email and in the body of the email was a profound message,
and one I had put on the back burner of my mind. In the 1970's I worked to get the Equal Rights Amendment passed. Only 38 ratified states were and are needed. It fell short by 3 votes and there are 15 states sitting on their hands. Why is the ERA needed? It gives women full benefits and not lip service. The woman who wrote the Equal Rights Amendment is no longer on this plane. However, her work does live on. Her name is Alice Paul. Please read the following about this great woman and the women who worked with her 81 years ago.

A History Lesson For Us All ....How Women Got To Vote

"A short history lesson on the privilege of voting... The women were innocent and defenseless. And by the end of the night, they were barely alive. Forty prison guards wielding clubs and with their warden's blessing went on a rampage against the 33 women wrongly convicted of 'obstructing sidewalk traffic.'They beat Lucy Burn, chained her hands to the cell bars above her head and left her hanging for the night, bleeding and gasping for air. They hurled Dora Lewis into a dark cell, smashed her head against an iron bed and knocked her out cold. Her cellmate, Alice Cosu, thought Lewis was dead and suffered a heart attack. Additional affidavits describe the guards grabbing, dragging, beating, choking, slamming, pinching, twisting and kicking the women.
Thus unfolded the 'Night of Terror' on Nov. 15, 1917, when the warden at the Occoquan Workhouse in Virginia ordered his guards to teach a lesson to the suffragists imprisoned there because they dared to picket Woodrow Wilson's White House for the right to vote. For weeks, the women's only water came from an open pail. Their food--all of it colorless slop--was infested with worms. When one of the leaders, Alice Paul, embarked on a hunger strike, they tied her to a chair, forced a tube down her throat and poured liquid into her until she vomited. She was tortured like this for weeks until word was smuggled out to the press. So, refresh my memory. Some women won't vote this year because--why,exactly? We have carpool duties? We have to get to work? Our vote doesn't matter? It's raining, I'm too busy?
Last week, I went to a sparsely attended screening of HBO's movie 'Iron Jawed Angels.' It is a graphic depiction of the battle these women waged so that I could pull the curtain at the polling booth and have my say. I am ashamed to say I needed the reminder. All these years later, voter registration is still my passion. But the actual act of voting had become less personal for me, more rote. Frankly, voting often felt more like an obligation than a privilege. Sometimes it was inconvenient.
My friend Wendy, who is my age and studied women's history, saw the HBO movie, too. When she stopped by my desk to talk about it, she looked angry. She was--with herself. 'One thought kept coming back to me as I watched that movie,' she said. 'What would those women think of the way I use--or don't use--my right to vote? All of us take it for granted now, not just younger women, but those of us who did seek to learn.' The right to vote, she said, had become valuable to her 'all over again.' HBO will run the movie periodically before releasing it on video and DVD. I wish all history, social studies and government teachers would include the movie in their curriculum. I want it shown on Bunko night, too, and anywhere else women gather. I realize this isn't our usual idea of socializing, but we are not voting in the numbers that we should be, and I think a little shock therapy is in order. It is jarring to watch Woodrow Wilson and his cronies try to persuade a psychiatrist to declare Alice Paul insane so that she could be permanently institutionalized. And it is inspiring to watch the doctor refuse. Alice Paul was strong, he said, and brave. That didn't make her crazy. The doctor admonished the men: 'Courage in women is often mistaken for insanity.'Please pass this on to all the women you know. We need to get out and vote and use this right that was fought so ha rd for by these very courageous women."

I recommend "Iron Jawed Angels", starring Hilary Swank, available through most libraries and the Ken Burns film "Not For Ourselves Alone: the story of Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony", also available through a library. These films really tell us how important it is for all women to vote. Please exercise your hard won right.

There are 15 unratified states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Utah, Virginia. If you live in these states or know people who do, please
bombard them with information and urge them to vote only for those who are pro-ERA. We only need 3 - yes, 3 more states to ratify the E.R.A.

EMPOWERMENT versus ABUSE

Within every individual there is a spirit connected to the Source and I call this spirit Genie. If the Genie is kept in the lamp of forgetfulness, this allows for abuse. For most individuals, the Genie was put back into the lamp or the bottle of forgetfulness by religions hundreds of years ago and it has been perpetuated by men who for the most part write history, or his-story.

Eons ago, women and men had a direct connection to their Genie. As religion began its encroachment into various countries, the Genie was put back into the lamp and the people were taught that they had to have an intermediary to the Source. The Source became the God out there in a nebulous place. For hundreds of years religions have taught that man is superior to women and women became chattels, breeding-bitches, and slaves. The divine rights of women were stripped from them. One only has to read scriptures of the various religious texts to realize this. What has been done to women could be called rape of the mind. Ancient history has been stripped of most information regarding women who ruled, contributed to society and were honored as women being equal to men.

Today the abuse of women and children is still rampant. In the arena of war, women and children are raped and women are often sold into slavery as prostitutes. We in the Western world have made some great strides, but there is still the 'good old boy network.' In today's world, little has changed except that special interests have joined religions by seducing the minds of women and men into thinking that sexy is the thing to be. Humanity is treading in a mind field with the individual being blasted with subliminal programming and visuals on the news of war, visuals in films of violence, commercials and ads leading people to think they are ill so they need to take this medication. Is it any wonder that people cannot think for themselves?

All is not lost. An individual can still let the Genie out of the lamp and become free-thinkers instead of one of the herd. As in olden times, one can make a sacrifice and today the sacrifice is to turn off the television and spend time with self. That can be fearful, because the individual will be bombarded with a tape playing in their mind of shoulds and should nots. It takes courage to drop out of the herd and become an individual free-thinker. I know because at age fifty I did this. I share tools that I used to change my thinking - my mind and releasing the Genie within. My latest book Awakening the Genie Within can change a life. It changed mine. In my book I use the symbol above, because I realized that it is really an ancient symbol for the brain. Read my book and learn why.

KNIGHTS TEMPLAR ~ MARY MAGDALENE

History is very much like unraveling a skein of yarn in some respects. On the other hand, history is fluid and changes according to whose perspective one is reading. For the mystique of the Knights Templar to have survived history since the 12th century, I researched this interesting group for my book Secrets of the Magdalene Scrolls and Mary Magdalene, Her Legacy. My library is filled with books about the Knights Templar because they are associated with Mary Magdalene, the Holy Grail and are responsible for the architecture of the many Gothic churches in France--especially Chartres.

I am putting forth another perspective. It is known that the group was formed by nine knights while on a Crusade to liberate Jerusalem from the Muslims. It has also been written that they supposedly were digging to locate Solomon's Temple and discovered some sort of treasure. After nine years the group of nine began taking in new members and the group grew and were given the blessings of the Pope, however I am not going into that phase of the Templar.

What I have discovered as a great possibility is something different. In my posting of July 5, 2008 titled Knights Templar - Another Perspective, I wrote of the possibility of Solomon's Temple being in Egypt-actually, Tanis since the Davidic line was known as the Hyksos before the great Exodus. It may appear that I digress at times, however I am tracing a weave--connections. After I read the many books, I began contemplating and questing to find answers. The most obvious possibility that came to me was that if Solomon's Temple was in Egypt, then the nine original Knights Templar would have discovered information about Egyptian Mystery Schools. It is a possibility that these nine men became initiates and brought back to France knowledge and with this knowledge created wealth, cathedrals, and esoteric symbols that are in almost all the Catholic churches.
Europe during this period was barely emerging from the Dark Ages that began in 476 AD. The Dark Ages was an era of ignorance, superstition, repression and social chaos. It was a period of intellectual darkness. The Moors brought to Spain contributions to science, medicine and mathematics while the Catholic Church strived to repress knowledge.
I am putting forth the hypothesis that the Knights Templar learned from a Mystery School. I also wondered where the Moors received their knowledge. The Moors' history is sketchy and they have been called Berbers. The thread leads back to Egypt and the Mystery Schools where Mary Magdalene and Jesus were taught. Their teachings originated from Egypt as did most of the productive verses in the Bible.
Not all of the Knights Templar died under the hands of the Inquisition and King Philip. They went underground so that knowledge could be preserved and it has emerged under many guises.
The symbol at the beginning of this posting is a Euro coin. The figure is of the Vitruvian Man first drawn by Leonarda Da Vinci depicting the cosmos man in the shape of a pentagram. The pentagram or the five-pointed star is a sacred symbol and if you look at the symbol of the Euro coin, it has 12 stars. Twelve and there were twelve Annunaki rulers and the planet was divided into 12 segments with each segment having 12 tribes. The number twelve is most interesting, because we have 12 inches make one foot. There were 12 tribes according to the Hebrews and there are 12 months in a year. Jesus had 12 disciples. The Twelve Days of Christmas also has an inner meaning and these twelves all have threads leading back to the Annunakis. Plato in his paper Law picked up on this. And, if we had 12 tribes in 12 sections, then we have the 144. Therefore each person on this planet belongs to one of the 12 sectors and is part of the 144. Interesting what a few threads will reveal.

Mary Magdalene and the Queen of Sheba

The picture to the left has played a very interesting part in ancient history and from my perspective she has a great deal to do with Mary Magdalene, King Solomon and the Davidic lineage. This is the Queen Pharaoh Hatshepsut of Egypt. She has been one of the most mysterious feminine figures in the Old Testament.
When I began my research for the history and lineage of Mary Magdalene, I learned that there is no history except what is in the New Testament according to traditional writers and researchers. I then began researching alternative, or little known history that is the Egyptian history. I wondered why Jesus and his family went to Egypt when King Herod wanted to kill him and supposedly killed all baby boys. I also wondered why in Matthew 2:15 there was the verse, from out of Egypt I call my son. My own research has brought me greater insights and validity of Mary Magdalene's lineage coming through the Egyptian/Ethiopian royalty. This also indicates that Jesus also was linked to Egyptian lineage since he was supposedly from the line of David.
Being a retired minister, I have long questioned many things about the Bible. My research led me to scholarly research of Egypt and Ethiopia. I have learned that there are ancient documents such as the Papyrus Ipuwer, Papyrus Ermitage, steles, drawings in tombs and at Karnak along with Josephus-Manetho. In my previous posting I wrote of the Exodus and that the Hebrews were actually Hyksos and also called Amalekites. According to Immanuel Velikovsky, Ralph Ellis and other Egyptian scholars, it was after the great Exodus that the Hyksos/Alamites changed their names to Hebrew/Israelites and the Old Testament is primarily the history of them with name changes. I am going to use the word Hyksos for the period I am writing about.
King Solomon was a Hyksos pharaoh with the name of Sheshong I and his father King David was called Pharaoh Psuesennes II. During this period of history, it was common usage for there to be intermarriage between father-daughter, mother-son and brother-sister in order to keep the bloodline in tact among royalty. From my research, the Queen of Sheba was a title and not a country as so many researchers have have alleged although there is absolutely no proof that Sheba was in Arabia or Saba as claimed.
When the Hyksos were paid to leave Egypt by the Theban pharaoh and journeyed into Canaan, they changed their names and the names of their pharaohs/kings. A few examples are: Abram was changed to Abraham, Sarai to Sarah, Jacob to Israel and Hosea to Joshua. Apparently, not wanting to refer to her by name, the queen who traveled to see Solomon was called the Queen of Sheba. The Queen of Sheba as a title means several things such as Queen of the South indicating she came from southern Egypt or from Ethiopia, and Queen of Stars and also God's Wife. This particular Queen of Sheba was also the Queen Pharaoh Hatsheptsut of Egypt/Ethiopia.
As the Bible states, she and King Solomon copulated and a son was born. The Kebra Negast has named this son Menelek I and the late Ethiopian Emperor Hallie Salassie had the title of the Lion of Juda and claimed he was of the same lineage as Jesus.
My research also brought forth that there is an ancient city in Ethiopia named Magdala, which was an important trade route from the Far East. There have been books written about the Ark of Covenant being kept in Ethiopia at Assum and there are other connections. Therefore, it is plausible that Mary Magdalene was a descendent of the Queen of Sheba/Hatshepsut and King Solomon. With both Mary Magdalene and Jesus being descendents of the Davidic royal lineage, they would naturally have a connection with Ethiopia and this indicates access to the Ancient Schools of Wisom, which were located on the banks of the Nile River with each school representating a stage of study that delves into the purpose of the seven seals in every person's body. However, that is another story in itself.
How and why did the Knights Templar select Mary Magdalene to revere and to build the many gothic churches? Was the bloodline only for royalty, or was it to perpetuate knowledge learned regarding the true purpose and divinity within every individual?

EXODUS - MARY MAGDALENE LINEAGE Part 4

What I am posting is leading up to Mary Magdalene, her lineage and why she has become an icon that has been fostered by the Knights Templar and other.

Before I continue with the Great Exodus, Plato in his treatise Law, wondered about the origins of man. He had his own idea and conferred with his peers in other countries who concluded he was correct. Plato put forth that the gods who came here, or the extraterrestrials that ruled the Earth for thousands of years, and after a long extended period decided to divide the Earth into 12 sections with each section having 12 tribes. Each tribe elected a king/ruler and the king of the section was elected or selected from the 12 different tribal kings in the sector. This has a great bearing on the 12 tribes of Israel. Thus we have 12x12 = 144. Each sector would have a god of the pantheon who would be in charge of that sector. The first pantheon of gods after a time became known as the Greek pantheon, the Roman pantheon, the India pantheon and so on.

From my research, Inanna was given the area we know today as India. It is important to realize that the so-called 12 tribes of Israel also had a god overseeing them. In the Old Testament/Talmud the foremost god name is Jehovah although it is sometimes erroneously given the name of Yahweh. Yahweh was a separate god. There was a battle between gods using nuclear weapons and resulting in the devastation of Sodom and Gomorrah. Lot’s wife was said to have looked back and turned into a pillar of salt. Today archaeologists are finding in their digs evidence of nuclear residue near those two former cities. We only have to realize what happened in Hiroshima to know that this was possible. We can also understand why the Dead Sea is devoid of life and has been monitored for its radioactivity.

My understanding of the great Exodus from the Hebrew point of view is that the Jews had been enslaved and wanted to be free of the tyranny of Egypt. Under the guidance of Moses, they departed Egypt and after the Red Sea parted for them, they wandered for 40 years until they came to the Promised Land. Have you ever wondered where they spent those 40 years when it only takes about three hours to travel by SUV from the Nile Delta to Palestine? Have you wondered who the Canaanites were? You know - those people who God gave the Israelites permission to ravish, kill and take-over.

There are researchers who question the validity of the Exodus story as written in the Old Testament (O.T,) and Talmud. Published on October 29, 1999, Ze’ev Herzog wrote an article titled Deconstructing the walls of Jericho in the Ha’aretz, the leading newspaper in Israel that after 70 years of intensive excavations in Israel, archaeologists learned that Israelites did not sojourn to Egypt or make an exodus. They did not wander in the desert. If there is no evidence of Israelites being in Egypt, then what is the Exodus all about? Perhaps the Israelites were not known under the name as given in the O.T.

If one were to research Egyptian history as given in hieroglyphics, paintings and other ancient writings, then another picture begins to unfold. This is very much like cracking a hidden code. The Jewish scholars who promote that the world is only 5764 years old could be right from the point of view that the Jewish or Hebrews had no beginning prior that time under the current names. Since this is the year 2008 AD, this would place the beginning of the Jewish race to around 3757 BC. What was happening around 3757 BC? When I began researching, I learned that even Jewish history scholars cannot agree upon the timelines when important events took place such as the Exodus. In The Gift of the Jews by Thomas Cahill, he writes that the Talmud came into being from oral history and there is no reliable record of written Hebrew before the 10th century BC. If you have ever played the ‘whisper’ or ‘telephone’ game, you have an idea of how garbled the original statements become.

Immanuel Velikovsky researched Egyptian history and the O.T. history extensively and even though there were parallels in both histories, the dates of the events did not agree. He finally realized that the Hebrews and the Egyptians counted time differently and when he learned how to reconcile the differences in times, he realized that their histories were practically the same. When in the O.T. it is written that Abraham journeyed south into Gerar, it could be he was traveling into Egypt because the names Gerar and Egypt were the same. What has been revealed is that the Hyksos were also the Israelites. Where did the Hyksos come from? Some say they came from Babylonia and other say Anatolia or Asia.

From what I can ascertain, the Hyksos came to Lower Egypt bringing with them chariots and horses, which had been unknown before then in Egypt. They were not ignorant people. For approximately a span from 1780 BC to 1560 BC, Egypt was split in two. The north (next to the Mediterranean) was ruled by Hyksos pharaohs during this period and the south (including Ethiopia and Nubia) was ruled by Egyptian pharaohs. The pharaohs and kings of ancient Egypt had many different names. There was the birth name, throne name, a name for different countries and it was usual to change the name by royal decree the name of the person so that it would sound more agreeable to the ears of foreign people. As an example: A pharaoh of the Middle Kingdom changed the name of Joseph mentioned in Genesis 41-45, to Zaphnaph-Paaneah. Therefore it is a challenge to know who was who.

During the time of Moses, it is interesting to note that moses was the ending to the name of Tuthmose I through Tuthmose IV. Instead of the O.T. Moses being found in a reed basket along the Nile River, he could have been one of the sons of Tuthmose I and he became Amenhotep IV with his half-brother being Tuthmose II, or Moses' brother Aaron. Or it could have been vice-versa. There is a general concensus of some scholars that Moses was Amenhotep IV who changed his name to Akhenaton and created the monotheism religion of Egypt dedicated to the god Aten or Aton. He even went so far as to establish a city dedicated to this new god and moved his city of power there. This would also mean that Moses aka Akhenaton was a Hyksos.

What if the Pharaoh of Upper Egypt wanted to rid Egypt of Akhenaton and his monotheism and over a period of time offered to pay him to move out of Egypt. There are possibilities that this happened. There is some validation that the Pharaoh of Upper Egypt paid a hefty price for the Hyksos to leave Lower Egypt and when the Hyksos left, they took the tribute paid and also destroyed property.

Regarding the plagues that came to Egypt, the volcano on the island of Thera in the Mediterranean erupted and the famine, river running red and diseases were the results of the eruption. The volcano eruption and the devastation is written about in Charles Pellegrino’s book Ghosts of Vesuvius. Therefore, the story of Moses taking enslaved Israelites out of Egypt and wandering in the desert for 40 years is a made-up story and a myth. It could be that Moses was following the instructions of his god Jehovah. Jehovah had created an Ark of the Covenant so that he could commune with his people. Jehovah was and is a vengeful god. The atrocities committed in the name of Jehovah are legion. The god Jehovah in Exodus 21:7-11 gives this order…And if a man sell his daughter to be a maid-servant (slave), she shall not go out as the men-servants do. If she please not her master, who hath espoused her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a foreign people he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her…Is this a loving God? No. The O.T. is filled with Jehovah commanding people to slaughter and to even to eat dung. In Deuteronomy 13:6, 8-15 Jehovah commands his people to kill anyone who would entice them to go and serve other gods. Who is Jehovah? That is the sixty-four dollar question. At this point one can only make assumptions. It could be Enlil who in all probability hated his sister Ninhursag. Or it could be the off-spring from one of the gods in the pantheon. Whoever he is, he is not the supreme God because there is no supreme God. He is an entity who never incarnated as man.

Who is the god the Muslims pray to? If there was one supreme God, then humanity is and has been in a heap of trouble. It doesn’t matter how many prayers are offered, one side will end up the victors in a war and this is usually the side that is the most powerful. It is up to each of us to connect with the Divine within each of us. I call it the Holy Spirit. We do not need anyone to intercede for us nor do we need to listen to priests, pastors or preachers. The ancient Egyptians had a code of ethics that is as valid today as it was in ancient times. In the Egyptian Book of the Dead: The Coming into Day, Chapter 125, it gives a long list of values to live by tht form the basis of the Ten Commandments. In the Egyptian Book of the Dead the gods are referred to over and over because these gods are the Nephilim who gave them the human form, and also gave them a creed to live by.

Mary Magdalene and Jesus came in as messengers and to awaken the god within eveyone. This was written before the time of Moses and is reflected throughout the Bible. It is time for each of us to move from a slave mind into a spirit mind.

The Magdalene Matriarchial Link - Part 3

Many writers and theologians have stated that Mary Magdalene is a descendent of the Hasmonean Dynasty. I have researched extensively and have found no connection. The Hasmonean Dynasty is mentioned in Book I of the Maccabees. They ruled from approximately from 140 BCE to 37 BCE. The books of the Maccabees are not in the Old Testament, although they are a vital part of the Jewish belief system. Before 140 BCE the area of Palestine was ruled by Seleucid a Hellenistic successor to one of the states of Alexander the Great, which sprang up after Alexander’s death. Seleucid was cruel and murdered many Jewish people because they would not conform to Seleucid’s form of religion.

A Jewish family rose up in protest and made war on Seleucid. They were given the name of Maccabees meaning Hammer because they hammered at the army of Seleucid until they won. Thus began the Hasmonean Dynasty. The rule of the Maccabees or Hasmonean Dynasty ended when Herod defeated them with the aid of the Romans. Herod murdered all relatives of the Maccabees and the line became extinct in 7 B.C. If all the relatives of the Maccabees/Hasmonean Dynasty were murdered, then Mary Magdalene could not have been of this lineage. There is always a possibility that a few survived, however there is no evidence.

Having read almost every book written about Mary Magdalene, Jesus and the Holy Grail, I am observing in my reading that a crucial aspect has been omitted form reportedly scholarly research, Yes, I know that there are books by Laurence Gardner, Marilyn Hopkins and Tim Wallace that purport that the royal lineage of Mary Magdalene and Jesus is called Rex Deus. If one studies European history and understands the bloodline is carried by the female, then the genealogy is muddied for those who claim royalty lineage. Although I agree with some of these authors' information, there is a crucial aspect missed and this is the origins of the Hebrew Old Testament and Talmud as well as the much quoted Josephus, a Roman Jew historian.

There are scholars who have researched ancient Egyptian history and I received my first jolt when I began reading Immanuel Velikovsky's book Ages in Chaos. Velikovsky had a problem with finding no mention of the Israelites/Hebrews in Egyptian history revealed by ancient papyri, steles, bas-reliefs at Karnak, paintings in tombs. And yet, he thought that their histories were so similar, but there was an 600 year difference in the Hebrew and Egyptian histories. He finally found the key and this was that the counting of years was different for the Egyptians and the Hebrews. I also learned from Velikovsky that the pharaohs and kings had more than one name. Thus they could have a birth name, a nickname, a throne name, and a name used in foreign countries. Velikovsky wasn't the only author tracking this.

Ralph Ellis has written a series of books that coincide in part with Velikovsky. There are other Egyptian scholars who such as Ahmed Osman, Moustafa Gadalla and Messod and Roger Sabbah. The general concensus is that the Hebrews/Israelites were actually the Hyksos/Alamites who conquered northern Egypt, thus creating the separation of lower and upper Egypt or north and south. The Old Testament books of Kings, Chronicles, Numbers and Deuteronomy is the history of the Egyptians and the Hyksos/Alamites. A fascinating revelation!

The most astounding revelation of all is that the Pharaoh Akhnaton was Moses although Ellis thinks Akhnaton was the brother of Moses - Aaron. The Hebrews did not come into being until the great Exodus. It is alleged that King David, Solomon and the Queen of Sheba were Hyksos pharaohs. What does this have to do with Mary Magdalene, Jesus and their bloodline? Everything. I will write more about the great Exodus in my next posting along with why I wrote in my two books Secrets of the Magdalene Scrolls and Mary Magdalene, Her Legacy that Mary Magdalene was a descendant of the Queen of Sheba and more on the Black Madonnas.

THE MAGDALENE MATRIARCHIAL LINK- Part 2

As I begin this posting of Part 2 of The Magdalene Matriarchal Link, I am often amazed at the number of writers that have glossed over the ancient history of the Sumerians. This is the reason I have gone back to the beginning of the human in order to understand bloodlines and their connection to the mitochondria. To the left is the remains of the Temple of Ninhursag, Tell Harrii, Syria near Iraq border.

I am only giving a brief overview and for those who want to know more, I suggest reading Zechariah Sitchen's books or googling the information wanted. It is indeed a most interesting history of the human race.

According to my understanding of the Pantheon of Sumerian Gods aka the elite of the Annunaki from the planet Nibiru, they were highly educated beings from another planet who found planet Earth with its primitive beings. In Part I, I have already given the background to the creation of the human form including its brain by a great geneticist Ninhursag. I am fortunate to have as my teacher, Ramtha for over twenty years. I was taught the rudiments of quantum physics, ancient history, the brain, the emotional body, and many other profound subjects. We students were encouraged to research and find out for ourselves. It did not take much encouragement for me to do so because I became intrigued with ancient hidden history when I read Ruth Montgomery's book The World Before in 1979.

In Part I, I placed an ancient drawing of Ninhursag portraying the result of her genetic engineering. One only has to drop the old thinking of the world is flat, the Bible is truth, Jesus died on the cross for everyone's sins and my God is better than your God to have a better understanding of who we really are. Shakespeare said it very well, All the world is a stage and we are the players on it. I know some people will be offended, but we are similar to puppets and who or what is pulling our strings? Eventually we learned we have a soul and some belief that a spirit inhabits the human body. Both of these statements are true as well as we are all part of the great mosaic of the primary Creator. This also means we have god within us. God is not outside of us and there is not only one God. Each of us have a mission to fulfill and that is as Ramtha has said to make known the unknown.

The human brain was created by Ninhursag. She is also known by other names such as Mama, Mami or Mammy and Queen of the Mountain, goddess of the earth, goddess of fertility and the Mother Goddess. Archaeologists have excavated the Temple of Ninhursag close to Tell Harri in Syria near the Iraquian border. Could it be that the statues of the Black Madonnas had their origin in honoring the memory of Ninhursag? Could it be that this is where the legend of Isis came from? History is the fluid movement of others’ recollections.

As the ancient Sumerian tablets reveal, Enlil felt the new humans were propagating too fast and be wanted them destroyed. His brother Enki and Ninhursag disagreed and when a family meeting was held, Enlil won. He exacted a promise from Enki and Ninhursag that they would not tell the humans that they were to be destroyed by creating a major flood to drown them.

Enki loved these beings because he had given his sperm to be used in creating them. There are Sumerian pictographs depicting Enki speaking through a curtain to one of the humans by the name of Ziusudra and this is suppose to represent Enki giving instructions on saving himself and the seeds created in the laboratory. The Sumerian and Babylonian records of the great flood are very similar to the description given in the Old Testament.

Ziusudra is another name for Noah and in all probability Enki was giving instructions for making a submarine so that Ziusudra/Noah’s family could be saved. The biblical story gives the synopsis that Noah brought animals into the Ark/submarine two by two. Very few people have ever questioned how this could be done. If one were to reason it, the genetic laboratory created by Enki and Ninhursag would have the DNA and genes of all species and it would be reasonable that vials holding these precious DNAs would be given to Ziusudra/Noah along with the how-to create them in a laboratory.

Egyptian hieroglyphs depict helicopters, submarines and airships. These are also described in ancient Indian texts. Therefore this makes more sense than what we have been led to believe. Enki is also known as Mercury, Thoth, Hermes and Osiris. It can be mind-boggling to think that the human species were created over 300,000 years ago, but then the Nephilim year was equal to 3600 of Earth years. The question is what intelligence occupies the humans as they have evolved? Ninhursag with the help of Enki created the vehicle or body, but the spirit and soul of God or the Creator of All occupies it for the exploration of making known an unknown. We are more than our bodies. As humans, we carry the DNA of the advanced Annunaki and also that of the primitive being already living on this planet.

Part 3 will reveal more about the Bloodline.

THE MAGDALENE MATRIARCHIAL LINK- Part I

There are questions I have asked myself such as why is the bloodline of Mary Magdalene and Jesus so important? Why have the many Catholic churches been given names that include Magdalene and Mary in them? Why has the Church attempted to hide the true greatness of Mary Magdalene? Why are there so many Black Madonnas in churches? Why do so many attribute healings to Mary Magdalene? Why have the Knights Templar kept her memory alive? Why have artists painted her? These are all interesting questions and they really have not been answered by the authors of the many books written about Mary Magdalene. I have also wondered by the many churches dedicated to John the Baptist and also to James, Peter, Paul and other apostles. If Jesus was the only son of God, then why aren't these churches reflecting more of Jesus, a male God instead of the feminine?
The last big question I have asked is why are women the most suppressed and abused species on this planet? When I first began researching for my book Secrets of the Magdalene Scrolls, I began finding information that most biblical scholars overlook. It has been similar to putting together the pieces of a puzzle. Instead of beginning with Mary Magdalene and Jesus, I am going back to the beginnings of how the human was created. I have heard that the answer is in the question. Therefore, I am going back to Genesis in the Bible.

Genesis 1:26-27: Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him: male and female He created them."

These two verses are not fully understood by the clergy who teach the people. Wouldn't you say that these two verses are in conflict, or are they revealing something not understood? There is not just one God. The Christians think their God is the only one and the Muslims think Allah is the only God. These beliefs come from programming of the human mind and it is time to begin unraveling this limited thinking.

The author Zechariah Sitchen asked questions when as a young boy in class to learn the Talmud. When he questioned, the Rabbi told him not to think, but only to accept. This did not satisfy the young boy and when he became an adult, he began a quest. His quest led him to the Sumerian Tablets and he learned to translate them. What he discovered answers the ambiguity of the two verses of Genesis I quoted above. Sitchen has written a series of books titled The Earth Chronicles, which I devoured in the late 80's and early 90's of the last century.

There were gods who came to this planet Earth approximately 450,000 years ago looking for gold to see their planet's atmosphere and they found it here. These gods were called Annunaki and their home planet Nibiru. I am collapsing time because one Earth year is equal to 3,600 Nibiru years. The ruler of Nibiru was named Anu and he sent his two primary sons Enlil and Enki to take charge of our planet. These two sons were half-brothers and they also had a half-sister Ninhursag. After many thousands of years, the Annunaki workers revolted against working the gold mines and something had to be done.

On this planet were primitive beings. Ninhursag being a brilliant scientist and geneticist began experimenting with these primitive beings in her laboratories all over the world. The one we are aware of is the Garden of Eden. Does that ring a bell? This brilliant scientist working with her brother Enki developed the first human body. There was a problem. The human body could not reproduce. Therefore, it was back to the drawing board and what evolved from the first human named Adam (atom?) was Eve. Ninhursag took the eggs from the female primitive species and genetically engineered it with the sperm of the Annunaki - primarily Enki and the female Annunaki carried these new beings in their wombs until they came to term.

How did the term 'gods' come into being? One suggestion is that the new human beings were the slaves for the Annunaki and referred to their masters using the word gold. Eventually the letter l was dropped and the name became god. What intelligence was operating the bodies of not only the Annunaki, but also the slave beings created. There had to be an intelligence operating their brains. The brains are sophisticated computers.

From what I can perceive, Ninhursag created the human brain and tweaked it by dividing it in two parts. This was done to keep the humans as a slave worker for them. She knew that if she gave them the full brain like the Annunaki that they would become intelligent too soon. She also gave the new species their genetics and DNA. Why do you think scientists have been puzzled over the so-called junk DNA? It is there waiting to be activated by us. Ninhursag also created the mitochondria to where the bloodline could only be passed from mother to daughter.

Books and articles that place women beneath men have contributed to the subjugation of women for eons and are tiresome. While writing about Mary Magdalene for my book Secrets of the Magdalene Scrolls, I found it a challenge to find any credible history of her era. Men and for the most part, men who were monks wrote the information available. This should tell us something.
Some books list a supposed genealogy of the bloodline of Mary Magdalene and Jesus and this is even more interesting. Men created the so-called reputable charts and only once in a great while is the mother named. As in the case of the Merovingian lineage, a king had children by different women and perhaps one was a wife. The eldest son of the Merovingian king supposedly carried the lineage forward even though the mother was not the queen. Thus, it became that the lineage was handed down from king to king. This in itself is suspect and I wonder if these kings and men of royalty were hatched in an incubator or an oven. The lack of the mother's name is very telling as to the attitudes regarding women. Science today is indicating that this is not so.

There is scientific evidence from archaeology combined with the study of the DNA and genes that it is a possibility women and men came from one woman nicknamed Eve. The primary piece of evidence is called mitochondria. An article by Rebecca Cann of the University of Hawaii, together with her two male coworkers, stunned the scientific world when the article was published in the British journal Nature on January 1, 1987. The article, Mitochondrial DNA and Human Evolution, alleges that all people living on Earth now can date their ancestry back to 200,000 years ago to a particular woman living at that time. Since the article was published, there have been other scientific studies and subsequent research alleges it could have been a group of women. What does this mean for women? It means that the hereditary maternal DNA is carried by the mitochondria, which is passed from mother to daughter. Any mitochondria in the male sperm dies and is not passed to the daughters or the sons. Therefore, if a man and woman have only sons, the woman’s mitochondria carrying the lineage dies out. When a son with no female sibling marries a woman and they have a daughter, then that woman’s mitochondria DNA is passed down. From my perspective, it would be quite onerous to trace the lineage unless one knew who the females were.

The ancient Egyptians knew this and this is why a Pharaoh as a father or a son would marry a daughter and have a child in order to carry the bloodline. What is the mitochondrial? From the science reports I have researched, the general consensus is that it carries the power of the energy of a cell. It could also be called the power generator of the cell. The mitochondria also have other functions, but for the purpose of this article, I want to emphasize the importance it has in tracing a lineage because the mitochondria also has its own DNA. I find it a tragedy that down through the ages and today in some cultures, it is the male child who is desired and in a few cultures the female baby is killed.

Due to attitudes of men of history, almost all knowledge of powerful and wonderful women has been either suppressed or eradicated. In some instances such as Mary Magdalene, Cleopatra, Lucretia Borgia, and Marie Antoinette, they have been portrayed as either sinners or in unflattering terms. I chose to portray Mary Magdalene as a powerful woman in her own right and I used my research to write this story in novel form. She was the wife of Jesus and they had two children—a girl and a boy.

I have three sons and therefore my mitochondria is not passed down. It stops with me, however my sister had three girls and they will carry on the line. My granddaughters now carry the maternal lineage through their mothers’ mitochondria. I primarily raised my sons alone, as their father was a career military man and away two-thirds of our married life. This arrangement gave me the opportunity to raise my sons as I wanted to and they have all grown into splendid men. They are loving, caring men and are not prejudice against women.

We, the women must take the responsibility of teaching our sons and daughters that each is an equal. It can begin in the womb. While carrying a child in the womb, the woman can speak to it and begin the teaching along with playing classical music. A fetus is aware in the womb. Now, that is another study in itself. For further research, I recommend reading Zechariah Sitchen’s book The Lost Book of Enki. An excellent website is from a NOVA documentary, Tracing Ancestry Through MtDNA, http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/neanderthals/mtdna.html

In my future postings, I will share more about the intelligence operating our bodies and write about Isis and other goddesses.

Will the True Teachings of Jesus Come Forth?

The Old Testament (OT) could be called a historical treasure hunt while the New Testament (NT) is supposedly about a great man named Jesus or Yeshua ben Joseph. Even in the NT it takes discernment to understand it and very few scholars have the education or the research background to see the obvious unobvious. I personally believe that Jesus lived and that he came to give us a new way of thinking and living. However any documentation of his actual life is a hodgepodge or mishmash of books in the NT. None of the four gospels, i.e. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were written during his lifetime. It is even doubtful that the authors of the four gospels were actually named Matthew, Mark, Luke or John. Researchers are realizing this now more than ever.
The travesty that has been perpetuated upon humankind is beyond measure. For the sake of power and misinformation along with mistranslations, the teachings of Jesus have almost been lost. The Christian churches of today teach more about Jesus instead of his message of how to live our lives. The church I grew up in and what I have experienced and observed is that Christianity has become a religion of bigotry, prejudice, hatred, and hypocrisy. This is not what Jesus taught. I find very little tolerance and love coming from a host of those who profess to be Christians.
The basis of the message of Jesus is in the Sermon on the Mount, Matthew (chapter 5.) Jesus also is quoted as saying greater things than I, you can do also. (John 5:20. This was altered in some Bibles.) Also in John, Jesus said, Don’t you know your laws say you are gods? (John 10:34 and Psalms 82:6). It is interesting how these important words have been changed, ignored and glossed over. It was Paul (if there was ever a Paul) who made Jesus into the only Christ, and Paul never heard Jesus teach or personally knew him.
In Tony Bushby’s book The Crucifixion of Truth, he lays out with almost impeccable documentation how these books of the NT have been constructed and also how the church has fraudulently changed them. This documentation comes from suppressed church manuscripts. To quote the back cover of his book, Using the scroll discovery, papal statements and the evidence of history, Tony Bushby takes his readers into the shady world of ecclesiastical dishonesty where, for centuries, an unprincipled church plotted and schemed its stratagem to perpetrate and maintain a false faith and exploit a gullible public.
Another interesting book that was published in 2005, is Bart D. Ehrman’s book Misquoting Jesus: The Story Behind Who Changed the Bible and Why. Ehrman takes a softer stance and in some instances attributes it to church scribes who either didn’t read well or chose to change it. Ehrman has a background of being a Born Again Christian, a Fundamentalist, an Evangelical Christian and now is a scholar of textual criticism. He attributes much of the mistranslations and misinformation to their humanity. Textual Criticism is described as a field of biblical criticism to establish the original wording or form of the biblical text insofar as this is possible. Dishonesty is still dishonesty when present day clergy and scholars allow the lies to continue to be perpetuated upon the unsuspecting public. My father had a saying, If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it must be a duck. I say fraud is fraud and if one allows the fraud to continue, then he is as guilty as the ones who created the fraud.
What is refreshing are the books being acknowledged today that are bringing forth the fraud of the Bible. Dan Brown’s book The DaVinci Code written, as a novel is so powerful that the Church became alarmed after it took the world by storm. Books have even been written about breaking the DaVinci code. Another book that is now before the public is Pope Joan by Donna Woolfolk Cross. Recently she appeared on the television Prime Time program about Pope Joan with Diane Sawyer. This is going to be made into a movie along with The DaVinci Code. I say hooray for them. My own books, Secrets of the Magdalene Scrolls and Mary Magdalene, Her Legacy are the result of extensive research and much of it is not covered in either of the two books mentioned above. I also brought out information about Pope Joan with documentation. In the Prime Time program the naysayers could not accept that there had been a female pope and called it a myth. What they do not realize is that there is always truth in myths. There is a possibility that Leonardo DaVinci was a woman and when further evidence is uncovered, you can bet that there will be a huge hullabaloo. But why not? (The movie Pope Joan has been released according to the New York Times, July 14, 2008) As Sawyer said on the Pope Joan program, women have masqueraded as men for centuries and she showed examples. Leonardo came in at a time when a woman was considered to be little more than a breeding bitch or something for pleasure and also to serve. Two different computer tests have been made on the paintings of DaVinci and the findings indicate that the Mona Lisa is a self-portrait of Leonardo. I have this documented in my book.
Is the NT all bad? Not at all. It is reading it with discernment and separating the wheat from the chaff. Jesus said, Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. If everyone lived this, we wouldn’t have so many wars, murders, wife beatings, child abuse and so on. Jesus also said, Love the lord, your god with all your heart and soul, and to love your neighbor as yourself. If each of us practiced this, we wouldn’t have theft or jealousy or greed. Where did Jesus learn these teachings? That will be another blog posting.
The Bible, meaning the Old Testament and the New Testament has been used to suppress women and to perpetuate the ills that are rampant in this world. It would behoove us to look beyond and only live what Jesus taught. It is as simple as that. Peter wasn’t the first Pope and there is an outside chance that Jesus didn’t say that Peter was to build a church based upon him. Peter was another word for rock – meaning dense. There is so much that has been kept from the public such as Thomas Didymus being Jesus’ twin brother. Or that Mary Magdalene was the wife of Jesus and a great teacher in her own right. She bore him two children. So why should one be surprised that there was actually a Pope Joan? All through the ages the Catholic Church has been rife with lies, fraud, pedophiles, transvestites and homosexuals as priests and popes. The Christian churches have also echoed what the Church perpetuated. It’s time to wake up and see the other side. Read the writings of Thomas. The Book of Thomas. Who should know better than the twin brother?

There is also a trend of modern day authors to use the Old Testament as proof of genealogy regarding Jesus and his bloodline. Now really! The Bible cannot be taken as factual or literally. In my research I have found almost nothing regarding the era from 1 AD until approximately the 5th century that would indicate a thread linking to a genealogy of Jesus and Mary Magdalene. I have already written about the lineage in other postings. History is a hallucination of events according to the viewpoint of who is writing the history.

What Is Missing in the World?

The world appears to be in chaos in virtually every country. Food sources are diminishing and food prices are skyrocketing as well as the price of oil. In addition, we have climate changes with devastating earth changes such as fires, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, typhoons, earthquakes and tsunamis, which wreak havoc on populations and perpetuate famine, drought and diseases. It isn't a pretty picture and one can become depressed by thinking about it.

There are those who predict these are the last days of the Earth and it could be as we know it to be. However, from adversity can come wisdom. Adversities propel open-minded people to create new ways and new inventions, while others sink into an abyss of hopelessness. It is almost impossible to allow creative ideas to flow into the mind when one is harboring worry, stress, anger, resentment, jealousy to name a few emotions that feed hopelessness. Today there is a proliferation of road rage and now this rage is spilling over into office rage and spreading world-wide. This contributes to sinking into the abyss instead of moving into creativity.

Something is missing and it seems to have been hijacked by governments, corporations and religions. What is this missing ingredient? It is personal responsibility based on a code of ethics. The oldest code of ethics originated from ancient Egypt where the pharaohs ruled using a code of ethics as given in the Egyptian Book of the Dead: The Coming into Day. This code is the basis of the Ten Commandments, the Golden Rule and the Sermon on the Mount and others in all parts of the world. From E. Wallis Budge's translation, here are a few excerpts of this powerful code.

I have committed no evil upon men.

I have not oppressed the members of my family.

I have not wrought evil in the place of right and truth.

I did not rise in the morning and expect more than was due me.

I have not caused pain.

I have caused no man to hunger.

I have made no one weep.

I have not polluted myself.

I have not diminished the bushel when I've sold it.

I have not added to or stolen land.

I have not encroached on the land of others.

There is much more to this code and bringing it forward to the present day, I am simplifying it to say: Do not lie. Do not cheat. Do not steal. Do not gossip. Treat others as you wanted to be treated. In Nikko, Japan there is a famous carving over the entrance to the Temple of the Three Monkeys portraying see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil.

During my many years on this Earth, I have changed my mind numerous times from believing I was a victim, no self worth, being jealous or envious to releasing all of that old thinking and emotions. How did I do this? I share this in my forthcoming book, Awakening the Genie Within to be released in August, 2008. My book is not really a memoir. It is a story of my awakening and moving from victim to being a woman who has gained wisdom from all of my experiences. I share the many tools, insights, stories that others can use to move forward in their lives.

Most people have no idea of the importance of the words they use and the thoughts they have. For each of us to move forward in our mental growth and evolution, we must shed the stagnation of beliefs we have held on to. These are limited beliefs perpetuated by religions, schools, governments and corporations. It is time for each of us to shed these shackles that chain us to the past and to live from a healthy environment of our mind. The time has come for everyone to release and give up prejudices, thinking we are better than someone else, thinking that one religion is the only way to salvation, and bigotry. I have learned that by giving these up that I am a able to love the spark of God or the Creator in everyone and not to condemn. This is what is missing in the world--freedom of the mind. Change your mind and you change your world.
